I was lucky enough to have the opportunity of capturing one of my dearest and oldest friends maternity photos! (p.s i LOVE doing maternity photography!)
Here is a bit of history about us… we have been friends since we were 4 years old and happened to also grow up together as neighbors. We grew up in a small town on the Fraser Coast and surprisingly enough we both ended up moving to Brisbane where we both meet our wonderful husbands! Although not neighbors anymore, we are only a minute car ride away from one another.
For Heidi’s maternity session we decided to venture out to Cedar Creek last Sunday afternoon. It was cold and overcast with the odd drizzle about so I was nervous of how the location would go as the trees already block out so much light and also let’s not forget to mention it is also winter here in Brisbane. But alas! It was just perfect! The rain that we had made the forest a rich green and the moss was all out for display and made for a beautiful backdrop.
The creek was only meters away from where we parked which made it easier for Heidi to walk to our location. We didn’t really need to venture far at all which was great. The water surprising wasn’t too cold either.
I just love capturing these special moments for my clients, especially maternity photography as pregnancy is such a gift that we should treasure the moment. As for my clients to have photos such as these for them to look back on to remember and savior this moment in time for years to come brings me such joy.
Heidi also decided to wear some of the gowns that we have available and she just looked absolutely amazing!
And here she is, glowing at 31 weeks!
